Business analysts play a key role in delivering change by analysing data, assessing processes and systems, creating solutions and planning for the future 

As a business analyst you’ll help to manage change, and plan for the future. You’ll need to be able to understand the current organisational context, identify future needs and create solutions to help meet user and business needs. 

You’ll have a keen interest in understanding the way an organisation works and the sector it operates in, and helping to develop the functions, services and products needed to achieve its goals. 

You’ll play a key role in understanding and translating user and business needs, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, including service designers and user researchers, to help ensure the effective delivery of user centred outcomes.

Your key responsibilities 

  • Be able to analyse a business problem or opportunity, ensuring user need remains at the forefront of decision making
  • Undertake research and analysis to understand how an organisation works, considering all aspects including, people, processes, technology, and data, as well as any constraints that may impact potential solutions or implementation plans
  • Reflect on your analysis, suggesting changes and improvements, including the processes and information technology changes that may be required for successful implementation
  • Explain the possible impact of change, such as costs, benefit, and risk analysis, using the appropriate data modelling and other techniques as needed
  • Work independently, and part of a multidisciplinary, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure successful delivery of outcomes
  • Perform requirements analysis and definition to support the development of key products through the development lifecycle, including design, build and testing of products and services
  • Be able to visualise your analysis to support the team, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff and colleagues. 

We’re looking for someone with  

  • The ability to work with across functional teams to help the delivery of agreed outcomes. 
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders, communicating project or programme information in a clear and concise way  
  • Experience working with traditional and agile delivery methods, particularly in supporting organisations who might be new to agile ways of working. 
  • The ability to coach teams and organisations in new delivery techniques and methods alongside delivery  
  • The ability to multi-task and work within tight timescales   
  • Ability to tailor outputs and design communication to meet client needs   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • Ability to be comfortable with the ambiguity of working in a multidisciplinary team in a start-up environment

You’ll join a team with user-centred design, delivery, communications and tech expertise. We offer services from strategic landscape reviews to the delivery of digital products. We use agile methodology and the ‘Perago Way’ to deliver our services, working creatively to help clients think differently about delivering better services to their customers and users.

Team working and connection is important to us, and we meet face to face most weeks at our coworking space in Swansea but the office is available to work from most days if you would like to. 

Flexible working

We offer flexible working patterns and have a hybrid working approach. You’ll be able to work remotely if you’d like to, subject to the needs of our clients, and we’ll provide you with the equipment you need to work remotely.  When working client-side, our working arrangements will reflect the needs of our clients.    

We don’t expect anyone at Perago to be at their desk 8 hours a day, and we won’t keep track of your work hours. We’re flexible and trust our colleagues to manage their own time to deliver their work and be around when our clients need them.

Pension

We have a workplace pension scheme with an employee contribution of 5% and an employer contribution of 3%.  

Welsh language 

Although not a requirement for this role it would be great if you are a Welsh speaker confident speaking and writing in Welsh or have a willingness to learn.
